Food Pantry Drives
In addition to serving food, Oasis also distributes food to the families who come here. We depend on our volunteers to organize and/or participate in food drives to stock our Food Pantry. And it is our volunteers who see to it that the food is unpacked, sorted and made up into food bags so it can be distributed.
If you plan on organizing a food drive, there are some great volunteer activities on site which can help connect your efforts with those directly in need. You and/or your group can deliver your food to Oasis, where you may unpack it in our food pantry. Using our Food Bag List, you can assemble the famous blue food bags we distribute to the community. Carrying out a food drive is a wonderful way to show compassion for hungry women and children in Paterson.

2 cans of soup
2 pastas
2 cans vegetables
2 cans tuna
1 can corn beef hash,
stew beef, or chili
2 boxes macaroni
& cheese (or rice)
1 box cereal or oatmeal
1 jar jelly
1 jar peanut butter
1 snack
1 can fruit
1 jar tomato sauce
